We are a small friendly, patient-centred rural practice serving a close-knit community in Lyminge, near Folkestone. Our list size is approximately 3200. Our surgery prides itself on delivering high-quality, personalised care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
According to the latest National GP Patient Survey 2026, 96% describe their overall experience of our practice as good which is amongst the highest score in the county.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 6-7 sessions Part-time GP to join our team and help meet the diverse healthcare needs of our rural population. This rare vacancy is available due to reduction of sessions by our current GP.
Main duties of the job
Provide high-quality, patient-centred clinical care to our diverse population, including acute, chronic disease, and preventive care.
Undertake face-to-face, telephone, online consultations and rare home visits as we have a dedicated home visiting service.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective, holistic care.
Participate in practice meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and significant event reviews
Manage administrative tasks related to patient care, including referrals, pathology results, and correspondence.
Job description
- You will be registered with GMC and engaged in regular clinical work.
- Be an experienced doctor with GP accreditation
- Hold MRCGP examination or equivalent experience (desirable)
- Have a sound knowledge of the principles and values that support good medical practice
- Have good organisational skills
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to working as part of a team
- Have a clear commitment to delivering quality and patient focused service
- Have a record of continuous professional development
