Are you an experienced Theatre Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with a passion for leadership, safety and delivering outstanding care for women and birthing people?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Maternity Theatre Lead Nurse/ODP to provide clinical, operational and professional leadership within our busy maternity theatre service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and developing a responsive, high-quality service while supporting the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective care 24 hours a day.
As the Maternity Theatre Lead, you will work closely with the Maternity Matron, Obstetricians, Anaesthetists, Midwives and Theatre Teams to ensure the highest standards of clinical practice, governance and patient experience are maintained.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient operational management of the department; including budgetary awareness, clinical governance, staff development and training. The post holder will be expected to provide professional leadership within the clinical area and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multi-disciplinary team within the area for which they are accountable for. The post holder will be involved in the development of protocols / guidelines and patient information.
