Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our Occupational Health and Wellbeing service on a temporary bank basis for 3 months.
This role will focus on providing high-quality Occupational Health case management support to managers and employees, helping to support the Trust's wider mandate to reduce sickness absence, promote safe and timely return to work, and improve staff health and wellbeing outcomes.
We are looking for a confident and experienced Occupational Health Advisor who can work independently from the start of the assignment. You will be joining a supportive, professional and values-led team committed to delivering a responsive, high-quality service across the organisation
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for delivering timely Occupational Health case management advice to support managers with attendance, rehabilitation and return-to-work planning.
Daily duties will include reviewing referrals, preparing for consultations, undertaking telephone or video assessments, assessing fitness for work, advising on workplace adjustments, phased returns and restrictions, and producing clear written reports for managers. The post holder will be expected to manage their own caseload, prioritise work effectively and ensure reports are completed within agreed timescales.
The ideal candidate will have strong Occupational Health case management experience, excellent report-writing skills and the ability to work autonomously. They should be confident in making professional judgements, able to identify when cases require escalation, and committed to maintaining confidentiality, accuracy and high clinical standards.
This role would suit an organised, responsive and experienced Occupational Health Advisor who can quickly contribute to service delivery and support the Trust's focus on improving attendance and staff wellbeing
