Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for providing a professional reception service, acting as a key point of contact for patients, visitors and external organisations. Duties include managing appointments, answering telephone enquiries, processing registrations, handling correspondence, maintaining accurate patient records and supporting clinicians with administrative tasks.
The successful candidate will work closely with the wider practice team to ensure patients receive an efficient, friendly and high-quality service whilst maintaining confidentiality and accuracy at all times

- Provide a professional and welcoming reception service to patients and visitors.
- Answer and manage telephone enquiries appropriately.
- Maintain and update patient records accurately.
- Process patient registrations and appointment bookings.
- Manage incoming correspondence, emails and documents.
- Scan and file documentation within agreed timescales.
- Process prescription requests and administrative tasks.
- Support recall and disease register programmes.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Work closely with clinicians and colleagues to support the smooth running of the practice.
