Job summary
Loughton Health centre are looking for a Salaried GP to join our existing friendly team for 4 sessions per week.
We have a practice list size of around 10,100 patients and are centrally located in Loughton Essex.
We have a long standing clinical team and an experienced non clinical support team
Main duties of the job
To provide high-quality, patient-centred primary medical care to the practice population.
To conduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations as appropriate.
Maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and complete clinical records.
Process and action clinical correspondence, pathology results, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.

- Provide high-quality, patient-centred primary medical care to the practice population.
- Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations as appropriate.
- Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with current guidelines and best practice.
- Order, interpret, and act upon investigations and test results.
- Refer patients to secondary care and other healthcare services when clinically indicated.
- Undertake home visits when required.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and complete clinical records.
- Process and action clinical correspondence, pathology results, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
- Participate in health promotion, disease prevention, and screening programmes.
- Contribute to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults in accordance with local and national policies.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, physician associates, and administrative staff.
- Participate in practice meetings, clinical governance activities, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the training and supervision of students, trainees, and other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
- Maintain professional registration, appraisal requirements, and continuing professional development (CPD).
- Comply with all relevant legislation, professional standards, and practice policies, including confidentiality, information governance, and health and safety requirements.
