We provide compassionate care to patients and families. Our team is looking for a Housekeeper to help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our hospice.
- Taunton
- £25,305.76 per annum pro rata
- Shifts between 7am - 6pm, worked on a rota across 7 days
- Free on-site parking
We have different hours available and are happy to discuss what works best for you. Bank work can also be considered.
Experience in cleaning, healthcare, or hospitality is welcome but not essential, as full training and induction will be provided.
Main duties of the job
This is more than a cleaning role - its about supporting patient care, dignity, and comfort.
You'll work as part of a supportive team, maintaining high standards of cleanliness across clinical and non-clinical areas.

Job description
The Housekeeper is a valued member of the Hotel Services team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection prevention throughout St Margarets Hospice. The role plays an important part in supporting patient comfort, dignity, staff wellbeing, and a safe environment by delivering consistent, high quality cleaning practices in line with NHS Cleaning Standards, National Colour Coding, and hospice policies.
As part of the wider hospice team, the postholder helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where patients and families feel cared for and respected. The postholder will always demonstrate the hospice values, providing compassionate, respectful, and patient-centred support across all areas
