Job summary
This is a 12-month fixed term contract and we would consider a secondment for an internal applicant.
We have an exciting Band 7 opportunity within our Integrated Services across Community Physiotherapy in East Berkshire. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative candidate who can support this developing team going forwards.
For this post you will need to have good solid experience of working as a Physiotherapist in the rehabilitation of older adults at Band 6 level. A good working knowledge of how the different community, primary and secondary care services, Local Authorities and voluntary services work together is also key. The post will involve a mixture of clinical and management duties. You will have a clinical caseload of general community referrals. As well as working clinically, this post will manage the Community Physiotherapy team based across Slough, Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead (WAM) in conjunction with the part time Team Lead for Bracknell.
Main duties of the job
- Effectively run the Community Physiotherapy Team in terms of people and diary management.
- Take on a caseload of Community Physiotherapy patients.
- Line-manage a diverse team of clinical staff.
- Contribute to and help implement service development.
Job description
The must haves for this role:
- Qualified Physiotherapist with HCPC registration
- Minimum of 2 years previous NHS Community Physiotherapy experience at band 6 level
- Sound clinical reasoning and knowledge in the rehabilitation of older adults
- Sound leadership, management and service development experience
