Job summary

North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to recruit a suitably experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Craftsperson - Mechanical (Fitter), to join our estates department.

The post holder should posses mechanically bias (HVAC / plumbing) skills, knowledge and experience and work as part of the estates team to deliver a comprehensive estates maintenance service, ensuring compliance with Trust standards, procedures, and legislation across the estate portfolio.

You will join a dynamic multidiscipline team, operating in a busy, fast-paced environment that provides a diverse workload, you will have the support and opportunities through training to develop new skills to enhance your personal development.

Main duties of the job

To undertake reactive and planned maintenance, service, test and inspection of complex engineering plant and equipment, servicing of air handling units, plumbing works including drainage and sewerage systems, heating and ventilation, hot and cold water systems and other mechanical systems, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard and in compliance with statutory regulations.

You will work alongside other trades to deliver a quality service using CAFM and other specialist software systems. You will join our out-of-hours on call service for which you will receive additional payments. The post will be based at Halton Hospital, but there is expectation for the role to cover all Trust sites where required.
