Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a specialist regional forensic service for children and adolescents. We are seeking a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist (HCPC registered) to join FCAMHS NW in a permanent full time (37.5 hours) post at Band 8A. The psychologist will form part of a specialist team that provides primarily professional consultation and assessment for children I the NW of England. The post holder will report to the Professional Lead for Psychological Services from within the Specialist CAMHS group. The post holder will be expected to work closely and constructively with the Senior Leadership Team within the CAMHS group. The post holder will be supported by accessing the skills and experience of a wider diverse Multi-Disciplinary Team. The post is open to applied psychologists registered with the HCPC as a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist. Prior experience with children and/or forensic services post qualification is preferable, however we will be able to consider how we develop and support the post holder. Main duties of the job

You will be part of a team of psychology staff within the Specialist CAMHS group which includesa Consultant Clinical and Forensic Psychologist.

The post holder will be expected to provide a highly specialist Applied Psychology service tochildren and young people, their families and carers.

The post holder will provide psychologicalconsultation to other professionals involved in the care of children and young people referred, specialist psychological assessments leading to impactful recommendations and support.

Thepostholder would also be expected to undertake service development projects, deliver trainingand support the wider services as necessary as agreed with the Professional Lead forPsychology within Specialist CAMHS and Senior Leadership Team.

The post holder is expected to contribute in other services within the specialist CAMHS group(Junction 17 and Gardener Unit) collaboratively with psychology colleagues to further their widerdevelopment and maintain a resilient team and service offer.

The post is open to both Clinical and Forensic Psychologists with 2 years post qualificationexperience. The post is open to applied psychologists registered with the HCPC as a Clinical orForensic Psychologist.

At an 8A level the post holder will be expected to offer TraineePsychologist placements.
