Specialist 5th Year Post in Diagnostic Paediatric Radiology:
6 Month post in Diagnostic paediatric radiology at Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Start date February 2027
We invite applications from Radiology 5th year trainees for a 6-month post in paediatric radiology from February 2027 until August 2027. The applicant must have FRCR or equivalent and have some previous paediatric radiology experience. We would accept candidates wishing to work for 3months. Therole is available toSpRswith a local NTN who wish to gain specialist paediatric radiology experiencewith an interest in a career in Paediatric radiology.The interested candidates will need to apply for an OOPT from their local deanery.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be part of a team of 4 subspecialty trainees in paediatric radiology, who work alongside 5 or 6 trainees rotating to GOSH as part of their general training from other sites. This is a full-time post with an on-call commitment of 1 in 6 -7.
Juniors experience a high level of clinical supervision from a friendly and approachable Consultant body.
Trainees are encouraged to get involved in audit and research, and many high-quality audit studies, case reports and research studies have been carried out by trainees at GOSH over the past few years, resulting in prizes and publications.
Subspecialty trainees undergo regular educational supervision, and the training is tailored to their needs.
