Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity within the ICB for a temporary (6 months) Band 6, Business Officer role within the Nursing Quality and Medical Team.

The post is full time; however, we are willing to consider part time or any other flexible arrangements.

The nature of the role demands a significant degree of autonomy, the ability to manage and respond to day-to-day challenges as well as a high degree of intellectual flexibility. Main duties of the job

The post will involve close working with other colleagues within the Directorate to support successful delivery of the team's responsibilities, i.e. an integrated approach to leading planning and performance development and improvement, encompassing operational performance, quality and outcomes, and service transformation.

This interim role is to focus specifically on the development and support for the setup of new ICB Safe and Effective Group - this group will be the key source of assurance, insights and intelligence for the ICB for the quality of commissioned services. The set up function will involve developing and coordinating the cycle of business, collating reports from each relevant committee, linking with the wider quality team in the development of QMG agendas, coordinating and driving the pre meet discussions to inform the analysis and KLOEs for discussion in the Group and reports for the group. The role will provide a key supporting function to others in the team via contributing their knowledge and skills in respect of the planning and performance.

Job description

As a business officer the post holder will work as part of a busy team and will be responsible for providing the full range of high-level secretarial business support duties. Supporting the effective running of governance processes, including Quality Management Groups. Delivering an efficient, high quality, confidential and timely service.

Priority areas for this post and specific tasks associated with the directorate functions will be agreed via objectives. As an employee of the ICB, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Nursing Quality and Medical team office, incorporating the vision and values into organisational and personal development including improvements to all procedures used across the department in relation to the position. The post holder will work in collaboration with members of the ICB management team, executives, non-executive directors, and partnership members. Liaising with regional and national NHS organisations supporting and arranging visits, meeting venues, preparation of papers, agendas and minutes for a number of high-level meetings.
