Chelmer Medical Partnership is looking for a part-time, experienced Prescription Clerk for 16 hours per week to join our collaborative and friendly prescribing team.

- Accurately and safely manage and process repeat medication requests.
- Act as a key liaison between patients, clinicians, and community pharmacies.
- Provide clear, appropriate advice and education to patients regarding their prescriptions.
- Ensure the practices prescription process remains safe, efficient, and aligned with current protocols.

Operating across three sites in Chelmsford Humber Road Surgery, Melbourne House Surgery, and Tennyson House Surgery, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and safely manage and process repeat medication requests.
- Act as a key liaison between patients, clinicians, and community pharmacies.
- Provide clear, appropriate advice and education to patients regarding their prescriptions.
- Ensure the practices prescription process remains safe, efficient, and aligned with current protocols.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar prescription or healthcare administrative role, excellent IT proficiency and a warm, professional telephone manner, the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure, and a willingness to cover extra hours to support the team during staff sickness or holiday periods.
