Are you passionate about improving outcomes for babies and families through high-quality infant feeding support? Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Infant Feeding Coordinator to lead and develop our infant feeding service.

You will provide expert leadership across maternity services, promoting evidence-based infant feeding practices and ensuring families receive compassionate, consistent, and inclusive care. You will lead the implementation of the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative standards, deliver education and training for staff, provide specialist support for complex infant feeding cases, and drive quality improvement through audit, evaluation, and service development.

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and partner organisations, you will help ensure families receive high-quality infant feeding support throughout their care journey.

If you are an experienced, motivated leader with specialist knowledge of infant feeding and a passion for improving outcomes for women, babies, and families, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The Infant Feeding Co-ordinator is responsible for providing strategic, professional and clinical leadership for infant feeding services across Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will lead the development, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of evidence-based infant feeding services to ensure women, babies and families receive safe, personalised and compassionate care.

The post holder will lead the Trust's implementation and ongoing compliance with the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) standards, ensuring the organisation achieves and maintains accreditation through robust governance, education, quality improvement and clinical leadership.

The role will provide visible clinical leadership, supporting the delivery of the Trust's strategic objectives for maternity services through education, service development, audit, governance, innovation and continuous quality improvement. The post holder will work in partnership with multidisciplinary colleagues and external agencies to ensure infant feeding services remain responsive, effective and centred on the needs of women, babies and their families.

Job description

The Infant Feeding Co-ordinator will work autonomously, exercising professional judgement and decision-making within agreed professional and organisational policies.
