Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse who is able to demonstrate a high level of care working independently and alongside colleagues. This is a part time role, days and hours to be agreed with the need to hold a regular Saturday morning clinic.

We value our staff and are keen to appoint someone who will become part of the team and share the surgery ethos, if you have a positive personality are forward thinking and able to demonstrate commitment we are keen to hear from you and would encourage you to visit the surgery to explore your experience and how it would align with the needs of the surgery prior to application.

Key Responsibilities include:

Treatment of long term conditions, wound care (ulcer and doppler, removal of sutures), ECGs, venepuncture, new patient medicals, cytology screening, contraception, adult, child and travel vaccinations, annual flu and covid vaccination clinics, request pathology services, chronic disease clinics, assist GP with minor surgery, COPD, hypertension, asthma, ability record accurate notes.

Job Summary

To be responsible for the delivery of nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. The practice nurse will be responsible for several clinical areas such as health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention, as well as supporting the management team in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure.
