Trauma Imaging Fellow - MT04 - MT05 depending on experience.
The Trauma/Emergency Imaging fellowship is a one-year post-radiology CCT training program, providing clinical experience across the full range of adult emergency and acute imaging, and related presentation and pathologies.
We are looking for a candidate who will commence the fellowship in September 2026. The post will be full time and be based at LUHFT, working across AUH and RLUH sites.
The successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of emergency/acute diagnostic imaging including CT, MRI and possibly ultrasound. The candidate is required to have a good foundation in interpretation reporting of cross-sectional imaging.
We are a hyperacute stroke unit and the northwest regional trauma unit, receiving high volume regional referrals. AUH hosts the trauma mdts.
The fellow will work closely with our experienced and cohesive trauma imaging consultant group, participating in interpretation and reporting of emergency/acute imaging (with adequate supervision) and attendance at these MDTs.
This is purely a diagnostic post. No on-call requirement. T
Main duties of the job
- Diagnostic trauma/emergency imaging interpretation and reporting
- Hot reporting and queries
- Support for specialist MDTs in conjunction with consultants
- Radiology in-patient and outpatient reporting
- Participate in quality improvement, audit and clinical governance
- Provide support/education for resident trainees assigned to the department
