Are you an experienced and innovative Dietitian with a passion for weight management, clinical leadership and service improvement?

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead and further develop its national Weight Management Service for people living with lymphoedema . This is a unique opportunity to influence policy, shape clinical practice and improve outcomes for patients.

You will provide strategic, professional and clinical leadership for dietetics and nutrition within Lymphoedema Wales, leading the continued development of an innovative All-Wales service. Working closely with Health Boards, you will drive service improvement, promote multidisciplinary working and ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. You will also maintain a specialist clinical caseload, supporting patients with complex lymphoedema needs.

The successful candidate will champion research and education.

We are seeking a motivated and highly skilled Dietitian with substantial experience in weight management, service development and clinical leadership. You will be passionate about influencing change and building effective partnerships to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a pioneering national service, influence healthcare policy and make a lasting difference for people living with lymphoedema in Wales.

Main duties of the job

Lead the strategic development, delivery and evaluation of the Lymphoedema Wales Weight Management Service. Provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership for dietetics, nutrition and weight management across Wales. Assess, diagnose and manage patients with complex lymphoedema and weight-related conditions, developing evidence-based treatment plans and personalised goals. Lead and support a multidisciplinary team through supervision, education, professional advice and service development. Utilise behaviour change techniques, motivational interviewing and counselling skills to support sustainable lifestyle change. Develop and implement All-Wales policies, clinical guidelines and service improvement initiatives. Contribute as a member of the Lymphoedema Wales Senior Leadership Team, supporting quality improvement, performance management and service sustainability. Deliver education and training programmes for patients, healthcare professionals and stakeholders. Lead audit, data collection, outcome monitoring and service evaluation to demonstrate impact and value. Promote research, innovation and evidence-based practice, working collaboratively to strengthen the evidence base for lymphoedema and weight management services. Develop effective partnerships with Health Boards, national organisations and multidisciplinary teams across Wales to improve patient outcomes.
