Clinical Fellow in CYPGS and SARCNHS
Job summary
We are looking for an exceptional, thoughtful and dynamic clinical fellow withat least 4 years' experience in paediatrics who wants to enhance theircommunication and multidisciplinary skills by joining the children and youngperson's gender service AND the Paediatric sexual assault referral centreteam for a unique training opportunity.This is a less than full time post (30 hours a week) with no on call requirementfor a fixed term of 12 months. The post is a hybrid post. 50% of the role willbe within the South West CYPGS: one of 4 national centres providing tertiarylevel care to children and young people. 50% of the role will be within theSexual Assault Referral Centre (Paediatric): one of two regional centres in theSouth West providing medical and forensic care to children and young peoplewho have been sexually harmed or in whom sexual harm is suspected.Both roles involve high level multidisciplinary working in a supportive and wellsupervised environment. The role is suited to an experienced paediatricclinician or senior paediatric trainee with a passion and interest in holisticassessment and formulation, safeguarding, adolescent healthcare and traumainformed working. The post may be suitable as OOPE/OOPT from run -through training with theappropriate deanery permissions and the successful post holder will besupported to apply for these if applicable
Main duties of the job
The post will be dual site based. The SARC element will be based on thesecond floor of the Central Health Clinic, Tower Hill, Bristol and is co-locatedwith the Sexual Health service Yuno.The CYPGS will be based within the CYPGS service, this is currentlydelivered mainly from St James Court in Bristol but is anticipated to be largelydelivered from the new site at Patchway early 2027. The post holder will be supervised and supported by both a consultantpaediatrician within the SARC service (Paediatric lead) and a consultantpaediatrician within the CYPGS service (Lead paediatrician), the ClinicalDirector and the Clinical Lead of the CYPGS
