Main duties of the job
Key Duties:
- Conduct holistic clinical assessment with (or without) prescribing a range of medications (including controlled drugs) within
- Waythroughs formulary, to support recovery in line with national and organisational guidelines and policies, and within scope of competency.
- Prescribe cost effectively and according to best practice, provide prescribing information and advice to key stakeholders and partner agencies including pharmacists, GPs and hospital teams.
- Assessment of people who use alcohol, which include criteria for community or inpatient detoxification. Prescribing interventions and management of people who are appropriate for community alcohol detoxification.

- Undertake person centred assessments, care planning, monitoring, evaluation and reviews in practice and outreach settings.
