We have a Band 5 registered nurse vacancy in our 'Rated Outstanding by CQC' Assessment and Treatment unit for adults with learning disabilities, Eastway in Chester.

Full preceptorship will be given to those who are newly qualified. You will be workingto workwith adults with a learning disabilityas part of an enthusiastic and committedmultidisciplinary team, taking referrals from both the local area but also specialist referrals from across the Northwest as part of the inpatient offer.Admissions are short term for people with learning disability and complex needs requiring a period of intensive assessment, treatment and or therapy within an inpatient unit.

As a key member of our Assessment and Treatment Unit, you will develop person centred plans and work closely with other member of the team to help individuals reach their potential.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to work within a multi professional framework, being named nurse for adult service users with learning disabilities and complex needs. The post holder will work within a hierarchical structure, under the supervision of the Manager/Deputy Manager.

As a Staff Nurse you will be required to take charge of the shift and offer management supervision sessions to the Clinical Support Workers who are assigned to you.

The successful candidate will be encouraged to excel within their nursing role and we offer a number of development opportunities both internally through our education department and externally though a range of colleges and universities we are associated with.

The ideal candidates must have strong and positive values, be enthusiastic, have good communication skills and able to build effective working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team.
