We are looking for a Systemic Family Therapist to join our nationally recognised and expanding Oxfordshire Child & Adolescent Eating Disorder Service.

Our well-established service aims to deliver high standards of care to young people and their families, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and participation.

We are a friendly and welcoming team looking for practitioners who put young people at the centre of what they do. We value multidisciplinary formulating and working. There is regular reflective space, supervision, and dedicated complex case discussions for the team with a high value placed on developing systemic thinking and working. You will work closely with a senior SFT colleague in the pathway providing extensive opportunities for development through practice and supervision.

Training and development is a priority and we offer specialist internal and external training relevant to the job role which includes clinical training in eating disorder specific models, as well as wider clinical related content. Staff in the wider team are interested and proficient in a wide range of therapies and there is a good culture of skill sharing.

You'll be based in Oxford, but Oxfordshire CAEDS encompasses the whole of Oxfordshire.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 7 Systemic Family Therapist, you will have the opportunity to support the Family Therapy and Eating Disorder assessment and treatment provision within Oxfordshire CAEDS. This will include:-

  • Providing Family Based assessment and treatment approaches within the Eating Disorder Service (including contributing to pre and post assessment MDT discussion)
  • Being a member of a Systemic Family Therapy clinic, with reflecting team
  • Offering systemic advice and consultation to CAEDS clinicians, other CAMHS clinicians and Multiagency services in relation to systemic issues
  • Teaching and training opportunities within the CAMHS network
