An exciting opportunity has come up for the Night Nursing Service for Band 6 Community Nurse to work across the Richmond area. The service operates from 7am until 7pm . The shifts are from 1900-0700

As a senior community nurse you will assist the Community Team Manager in the management of a designated caseload, ensuring that holistic assessments are undertaken by a competent practitioner within the nursing team.

**UK driving licence required.**Access to a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driving licence are essential requirements for this role.

Main duties of the job

To support the Night Nursing Team Manager in the delivery of the locality nursing service in line with the commissioned service specification, standards, activity and outcomes, in the context of multi-disciplinary locality working.

Assisting the Night Nursing Team Manager to provide line management and leadership for the community nursing team, being accountable for the team caseload and the development of a skilled, competent and motivated workforce, able to meet the needs of the patients on the caseload

Take a lead for a specific area of nursing practice, as a delegated responsibility, to ensure that less experienced nurses have access to best practice knowledge and expertise to inform and support their clinical practice.

Deputise in the absence of the Night Nursing Team Manager , and undertake delegated tasks as development opportunities for succession planning.
