About the Role

As Area Operations Manager, you'll have full operational responsibility for a portfolio of services, ensuring excellent care, strong leadership, regulatory compliance and sustainable business performance.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll work closely with Registered Managers, colleagues, families, commissioners and other key stakeholders to deliver outstanding outcomes across your services.

You'll lead across our three key priorities:

  • Quality Deliver outstanding care, support, governance and continuous improvement across all services.
  • People Inspire, develop and support Registered Managers and high-performing teams to achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Healthy Finances Manage resources effectively to ensure sustainable service performance, growth and value.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Proven leadership and management experience within adult social care.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or working towards).
  • In-depth knowledge of social care legislation, regulations and best practice.
  • Experience managing multiple services, service budgets, rotas, occupancy and commissioned hours.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience driving quality and compliance through audits and service improvement plans.
  • Strategic, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and decision-making skills.
  • Strong IT and data literacy.
  • Passionate, values-driven leadership approach with a commitment to person-centred care, equality and inclusion.

Desirable

  • Level 7 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic and non-aversive support approaches.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between services.
