Are you an experienced operational leader who is motivated by improving services and making a tangible difference for patients, staff and communities?

We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join our Locality Therapy and Nursing Services leadership team. This is an opportunity to lead a portfolio of services, working alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, safe and effective care while shaping the future of community healthcare.

As a senior leader, you will be responsible for the overall management, quality, performance, workforce, governance and financial stewardship of your services. You will play a key role in setting direction, supporting innovation and ensuring that services continue to evolve in response to the needs of the population we serve.

This role offers the chance to influence beyond your immediate area, working across organisational and system boundaries to deliver sustainable improvements and contribute to wider strategic priorities. It is well suited to an ambitious and collaborative leader who enjoys both operational delivery and long-term service development.

Main duties of the job

  • You will provide visible and supportive operational leadership across a portfolio of community services, creating an environment where staff can thrive and patients receive the highest standard of care. You will work in partnership with clinical leaders and professional leads to ensure services are safe, effective, responsive and well-led.

You will be accountable for service performance, workforce planning, financial management and governance, ensuring that quality, activity and productivity objectives are achieved. You will use data and insight to support decision-making, drive improvement and address challenges proactively.

A significant part of the role involves leading change. You will support service redesign, transformation programmes and pathway development, helping teams respond to growing demand while improving outcomes and experience for patients.

You will also work closely with colleagues across the Trust and wider health and care system, building strong relationships with partners, commissioners and stakeholders to shape future services and deliver shared priorities. Research, innovation and continuous quality improvement will be central to your approach.
