Job summary
30 Hours Per Week. This is an exciting new opportunity for a band 3 support worker to join an expanding team working within the Neurodiversity Pathway supporting with Children, Young People and families. You will be hosted by an established pathway within CAMHS service supporting provision of early intervention services within the community. The aim is to support both the Child Development Centre and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Children, Young people and families post diagnostically.
You would be part of a pathway that is delivering early intervention services to Children and Young People (CYP) and their families in their community. The core function of the pathway will be to provide Family, child and young person focused support, Structure group work-themed, Drop-ins, Child-led Play, Sensory support and Sleep support. You will also support covering a telephone advisory line which will run from Monday to Friday 0900-1700 and cover the Plymouth and Devon areas.

Maintain standards of care to highest level within available resources.
To actively participate in line management with senior and junior members of staff.
To liaise effectively with the other key stake holders across the city.
To develop and maintain relationships with providers statutory and non-statutory.
To maintain confidentiality in respect of the young people at all times.
Communicate clearly with children and young people, their families and all other health professional groups.
Actively participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, e.g. clinical audit, essence of care or clinical policy development.
Ensure that children and young people are encouraged to play a part in decision making about the help they need and how they can access specific interventions. This is to promote person-centred planning.
