Job Overview
An exciting to join the Primary Care Alliance's Women's Health Hub as part of our innovative and Community Gynaecology Service.
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced General Practitioners with significant experience and passion for Women's Health who wish to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
Working alongside experienced GPwERs, Community Gynaecologists, and collaborative partnership, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care closer to home whilst helping transform women's healthcare across Berkshire West.

Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity to provide specialist assessment and management of women referred into the Berkshire West Women's Health Hub, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within agreed clinical pathways whilst further developing your specialist skills, through a structured and supportive environment for professional growth.
Responsibilities include:
- A mix of triage, virtual and face to face consultations
- Assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of benign gynaecological conditions within the Community Gynaecology Service.
- Independent management of patients within agreed competency levels.
- Performing community-based gynaecological procedures appropriate to training and competence such as
o Removal of lost IUS
o Difficult insertion of IUS
o Cervical polypectomy
o Assess and manage incontinence and prolapse symptoms including vaginal pessary
o Cervical cautery
- Participation in MDT and other clinical meetings where appropriate.
- Contributing to clinical governance, audit, teaching and service improvement initiatives and ensure service is complaint with CQC legislation.
- Supporting delivery of Berkshire West Women's Health pathways and promoting consistent evidence-based care across Primary Care.
- Continuous Learning: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base in womens health, actively engaging in the training and professional development

Clinical Development Opportunities
- Vulval disease assessment.
- Developing procedural skills through supervised practice and competency assessment such as pipelle and vulval biospy.
