In Brentwood, Essex, we seek a warm and dedicated Care Assistant to join our award-winning team at Brentwood Arches Care Home. The Care Assistant delivers high standards of personal care and works closely with the care team to ensure continuity of services. Responsibilities include assisting residents with personal hygiene while ensuring independence, dignity, and respect; recognizing and escalating clinical risk areas; and practicing safe work systems. Successful applicants live our valuescaring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountableand need not have experience, as we offer thorough induction and training programs. Applicants must communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative, and be adaptable and flexible in covering various responsibilities at short notice. A DBS check is required.

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.

  • Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
