Job summary
There are 2 positions available:1 full time fixed term contract until 31 MARCH 2027 but likely to be extended for internal candidates only1 full time permanent position that is open to both internal and external candidates.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to join the Fitzrovia Private Maternity Suite as a Band 7 Senior Midwife. As part of our growing private maternity service, you will help deliver outstanding, evidence-based personalised care in an environment defined by clinical excellence and an exceptional patient experience.
As a senior midwife, you will combine clinical practice with operational leadership. You will play a pivotal role in delivering expert midwifery care to women with diverse clinical needs, ensuring safe and individualised care. Working in close partnership with leading consultant obstetricians and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide continuity of care, support informed decision-making and deliver care that is responsive and maintains the highest standards of clinical governance and patient safety.

Main duties of the job
The Band 7 Senior Midwife is responsible for providing expert clinical care and visible leadership within the Fitzrovia Private Maternity Suite, ensuring the delivery of safe, personalised and evidence-based maternity care throughout the woman's journey.
The post holder will combine clinical expertise with operational and managerial responsibilities to support the effective day-to-day running of the service, promote high standards of professional practice, and deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Working collaboratively with consultant obstetricians and the multidisciplinary team, the post holder will contribute to workforce leadership, staff development, clinical governance, quality improvement and service development, ensuring care is delivered in accordance with Trust values, professional standards and the expectations of women and families choosing private maternity care.
