Main duties of the job

  • Own the delivery of timely, accurate monthly reporting, reconciliations and returns across your delegated areas.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders (including director level) to provide clear, practical financial advice--especially on complex or sensitive issues.
  • Lead budget setting, forecasting and budgetary control; identify and manage financial risks via the directorate risk register.

Job description

  • Support contract negotiations and service performance, ensuring strong governance and value for money.
  • Drive efficiencies and cost improvement through analysis, benchmarking, business cases and project leadership.
  • Coach and support junior colleagues and deputise for senior finance staff when required.
