Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Breast Care Team as a Band 6 Breast Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).

This rewarding role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of patients undergoing assessment, treatment, and ongoing care for breast-related conditions.

The Breast Team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath is recognised for delivering high-quality patient care, alongside a strong commitment to education, innovation, and research.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic, supportive, and highly respected multidisciplinary team, dedicated to providing outstanding patient-centred care.

Previous experience in breast surgery, oncology, or cancer care would be advantageous; however, we are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate a passion for supporting patients and developing specialist knowledge within breast care.

Main duties of the job

You will be a skilled,expert breast care nurse, and a core member of the Breast unit multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care to patients with breast surgical or oncological issues. You will possess or develop the skills, competence, expertise and clinical decision-making abilities required to co-ordinate treatment for breast patients.

You will provide clinical leadership for the development of integrated patient pathways in the team, which are in line with recognised best practice and evidence base, working closely with stakeholders and care providers.
