Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for the management of the Second Line Engineers team, as a key part of Technical Solutions Strategic Business Unit. This primarily includes ensuring ownership of management activities and that our customers receive excellent customer service, ensuring any required improvements are appropriately assessed and implemented.
The post holder will support the EUD Support Manager in providing first line managerial and technical support for our operational and project-based services, in addition to the whole of the NHIS customer base. The post holder will ensure ICT service delivery and customer focus through proactive and best practice ICT processes and the effective management of internal services and third-party contracts. The post holder will ensure that all ICT related issues are comprehensively and effectively addressed through proactive and best practice ICT processes.
The post holder will actively develop processes and assurance mechanisms to support the management of Second Line customer support, providing services across the local health community, supporting major projects and programmes.
Working at a management level within NHIS, the post holder may be required to form part of the on-call management rota.
The overriding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.
