Job summary

Lead and manage the Podiatry and Orthotics Service across the Integrated Health Community, ensuring effective operational delivery, clinical governance, professional standards, policy implementation, and high-quality patient care.

Main duties of the job

Provide strategic leadership for service development and improvement, including workforce planning, service redesign, modernisation, change management, business planning, and the implementation of Health Board and national priorities.

Manage people, resources, and performance, including budget management, financial governance, staff leadership, recruitment, training, appraisal, risk management, quality improvement, and performance monitoring.

Provide expert professional and clinical leadership, maintaining a specialist clinical role while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop services, improve outcomes, support innovation, and ensure compliance with professional and organisational standards.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.

Job description

You will lead the podiatry and orthotics service in North East Wales. Across all clinical services and age groups.

You will work with a broad multi disciplinary team.

You will work closely with other AHP colleagues in an established service
