Main duties of the job

From storyboarding and shooting to final editing, you will be our go-to creator for engaging video and multimedia content working with the support and input of the wider team.

You'll have a creative eye and will use your expertise (Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) to produce high-quality filmed and other multimedia assets that bring the fantastic work that The Christie does to life both externally on our social media channels and website, as well as internally on our new staff portal and digital screens.

You'll juggle multiple projects and keep timelines on track, managing filming seamlessly, all the while maintaining high attention to detail.

You will also have excellent communication skills, know what makes a good story and will understand how to tailor a message for different audiences. You will also have demonstrate good relationship-building skills with both our patients and staff.

Job description

1. Plan, film, and edit high-quality video content to a standard suitable for use across digital channels (intranet, screens, social media).2. Organise, script and film executive vlogs (Board to Ward), staff profiles (We are The Christie) and staff/patient stories3. Conduct and record interviews with patients, staff, and third parties to bring real stories to life sensitively and effectively.4. Project manage video, photography and multimedia initiatives, working with colleagues, patients and the public to produce the agreed material.5. Coordinate patients and staff to ensure effectiveness and consistency in messaging and branding.6. Identify, plan and project manage multimedia content opportunities including stakeholder liaison with an ability to manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels.7. Work with teams across all our sites (Oldham, Salford, Macclesfield, Withington) to identify content opportunities that support awareness, innovation, change management, recruitment, and engagement goals.8. Manage incoming content requests and develop clear briefs to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.9. Ensure all content is produced in line with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and safeguarding requirements. Ensure brand appropriate tone of voice is applied to each channel (eg Christie Connect intranet, digital screens, social media channels x 3).10. Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times and consent process is managed and recorded.11. Translate complex projects into dynamic and impactful multimedia content with clear and easily understood messages using a range of techniques and formats to capture attention.12. Identify, create and take advantage of opportunities for multimedia content creation identified as part of ongoing site visits.13. Maintain and organise a video/digital asset library ensuring efficient processes for accessing, storing and sharing content.14. Adapt content for different platforms and audiences.15. Stay up to date with trends in digital storytelling and recommend new formats, tools and approaches.16. Monitor and evaluate impact of content, including benchmarking to support review and analysis.17. Prepare reports to update colleagues on effectiveness of content using insights to inform future work.18. Work with and provide support advice regarding digital content to the wider team including close working with the digital marketing team who are responsible for content on the intranet and Trust website19. Take ownership for multimedia content from concept to completion.20. Support the communications officers in providing content for Trust social network sites including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Further support roles:

Provide content for internal and external communication channels including press releases and statements, newsletters, stakeholder updates and other corporate materials. Provide support on all internal communication channels including but not limited to, We are The Christie magazine, Cascade Brief, Chief Executive updates, Board to Ward vlog, Weekly Bulletin, Neighbourhood Newsletter, and all staff communications ensuring consistency of look and feel and quality of communication. Support on content and publication of the weekly email newsletter and other publications using GovDelivery eg Neighbourhood Newsletter, Act as support to the communications team for enquiries to the Trust from the media on a wide range of issues. Provide support on media monitoring and reporting. Assist the communications team on corporate events such as official openings, photo calls, stakeholder and promotional events including VIP visits. Assist with maintaining and updating the Trusts social media platforms. Assist with maintaining good stakeholder relationships and engagement using a variety of communications methods across the sectors locally, regionally, and nationally. Work closely with the digital services department to ensure effective management and synchronisation of relevant internal and external messages
