Job summary
Lea Vale Medical Group are looking for a Medical Receptionist with experience in customer service to join our Ampthill branch surgery. This is an exciting role as you'd be joining an established non-clinical team that serves over 45,000 patients and is rated outstanding by the CQC.
The role is part time Monday to Friday 8am-12pm

Main duties of the job
Our receptionists help patients to access the right services, assist with keeping health records accurate and up-to-date, and ensure that appointment bookings are well-managed. We are looking for someone who is confident and has an empathetic manner.
Job description
- Undertake reception duties, including front desk, patient navigation and call handling.
- Make appointments for patients to see GPs, nurses or others.
- Communicate with patients, visitors and Practice staff to ensure surgeries run smoothly and on time.
- Provide patients, visitors, etc. with basic information and act as a resource, where more help is required.
- Operate clinical computer system and maintain high quality data entry.
- Communicate with other agencies like transport, phlebotomy, hospital etc.

Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable but not necessary as full training will be given
