Main duties of the job
To provide GP services to our diverse, young population. This includes acute problems, chronic disease management, some housebound patients (no care homes), using a variety of access points such as telephone consultations, video consultations and face to face and home visits where needed.
You will have regular booked clinics and take part in the duty doctor rota which is typically 2-3 days/month and we allocate generous protected time for this role.
We hold a weekly clinical meeting which our in-house psychiatrist attends as well as MDM's with the paediatric team at the local hospital, the palliative care team and the Health Visitors.
We would want you to support our educational activities such as training Physician associates, GP trainees and Medical Students when needed.
The role includes usual admin duties such as daily scripts and results, supported by our pharmacist. We gave a highly skilled admin team to deal with referrals and docman so this is kept to a minimum for clinicians.
