Job summary
NHFT are recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant to work within Primary Healthcare within HMP Peterborough to deliver a comprehensive range of needs-based health care services to patients. This involves providing 24-hour care by working a range of shifts including days and weekends to suit the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
The Primary Healthcare provision at HMP Peterborough is provided by Northamptonshire Foundation Trust. The team consists of nurses, HCA's, Chronic disease nurses, Sexual health and General Practitioners. The team works closely with the Psychosocial team, Secondary Mental Health team and Healthcare Services to provide a Trauma Informed Well Being Service for residents.

Opportunities for learning and developing work-ready skills are on offer for all who come in-to custody, but our commitment to reducing reoffending in local communities does not end at the prison gate. We support people released from custody through innovative partnerships in all areas working with people to maintain and lead law-abiding lives.
