Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our Inventory Management Team within our Procurement department at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals As an Inventory Management Theatres assistant. You will ensure the agreed stock levels in Theatre areas are kept to their maximum. You will also maintain and keep the ordering of Implants utilised in Theatres to its maximum and ensuring the data on Implants is kept up to date.
This position requires a very motivated individual to assist the Inventory Management Theatres Team Leader for the delivery of an effective and efficient stock management Service to the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role will involve in the assistance of the Point of Care IM Theatre staff and will ensure the ordering of replacement Implants are processed correctly and to assist in the S4S project.
Main duties of the job
To establish & maintain a robust Stock Management service which encompasses the receipt and distribution of all goods into the Trust and the subsequent delivery and management of stock in ward and clinical area's via the current and future stock management solution.
To manage the Point of Care processing orders ensuring all replacement implants are ordered on a timely Basis and data in regards to Implants are accurate within the systems
Assist in the Scan 4 Safety Project and working with the Implementation Lead - Scan 4 Safety
Ensure Data on Implants with regards to Bodyside, lot and expiry data is kept up to date.
To be able to communicate across all levels including engaging with clinical staff within the trust. Be able to communicate with outside organisations for example suppliers.
To aid the Inventory Management Theatres Team Leader in promoting the highest standards of quality within the work area and assist with training & development of staff to ensure maintenance of those standards
Must be able to manoeuvre heavy metal roll cages ensuring that patients, staff and you are not compromised.
Must have experience with computer skills and be able to adapt to using the systems that we use to manage consumable stock.
Must be able to utilise devices to input goods into the inventory management system, and ideal candidates will have familiarity using this tool to identify items and stock quantities.
