About us

Joint Commissioning Committee (NWJCC) works on behalf of Wales' seven Health Boards to plan and commission healthcare services that are best delivered nationally. While Health Boards provide services for local populations, some services are so specialist, complex or low volume that they are commissioned once for the whole of Wales. NWJCC works with and on behalf of the Health Boards to ensure these services are planned consistently, delivered safely and equitably across Wales.

With approximately 120 colleagues based in north and south Wales, we are a focused organisation with a national remit, offering a unique opportunity to influence healthcare across Wales and make a real difference. Our vision is to be the Centre of Excellence for Collaborative Commissioning, bringing together expertise to improve health and care for people in Wales.

Guided by our values of Respecting Each Other, Fostering Collaboration, Striving for Excellence and Building Trust, we provide a supportive and inclusive workplace, reflected in our Diverse Cymru Cultural Competence Certificate (Silver Award with Merit).
