Job summary
Care Plus Group are looking for a Medication Officer to join their team at Community Inpatient Unit to support medications within the unit.
Our Community Inpatient Unit is a bed-based facility supporting people to recover and regain their independence following a period of illness, trauma, surgery, or significant event. It supports hospital discharges, prevents admission to hospital or long-term care and promotes independent living. Its a multi-disciplinary service with Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Social Workers, and care staff.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis covering days, nights, weekends, bank holidays.

We are seeking highly motivated and reliable Medication Officers to join the multidisciplinary team at the Community Inpatient Unit (CIU). The CIU delivers nursing, rehabilitation, and enablement services to patients within a short term inpatient setting.
The role is central to ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines, supporting timely medication administration, stock control, and compliance with medicines governance processes. Medication Officers work with nursing staff and the MDT to enable patients to regain independence following hospital admission, illness, injury, or a short term health exacerbation, supporting safe discharge back to their own home, residential care, or nursing settings.
You must have NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care and at least one years experience working in a health and/or social care setting, providing care to individuals. You must also have experience of handling medications and ideally have the Safe Handling of Medication Certificate.
