Are you a highly skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity in a challenging and rewarding environment?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior OT post based on Sycamore ICU ward within Tamarind Centre.

Tamarind Centre is a 89 bedded male medium secure service in Bordesley Green, Birmingham. The centre provides assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for men who have been assessed as needing care in a medium secure environment and aims to serve the population in central and north Birmingham, as well as offering specialist services for complex, challenging and long term care. Tamarind Centrehas good transport links and is close to rail and motorway networks.

The post holder will work within the established Occupational Therapy team at Tamarind Centre and Sycamore ICU team, supporting service users on admission and during their progression on the unit, delivering comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, formulation and interventions, whilst using evidence-based practise to assist in developing individualised care plans, promoting independence and enhancing functional abilities whilst developing innovative ways to engage service users with complex needs.

Main duties of the job

You will need to be committed to recovery based personalised care, and excited about opportunities to work with EBE in creating co produced interventions and groups that meet the demands of our diverse communities. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and will work collaboratively with service users in a way that reflects our Trust Values by providing committed and high quality care.
