ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include: Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your primary responsibilities will include monitoring residents' wellbeing, supporting the care team, and ensuring high standards of care are maintained. You will also play an active role in the person-centred care planning process and support residents with their medication requirements. Additional duties involve undertaking staff supervisions, acting as a key point of contact for residents and their families, and handling concerns or complaints. To be successful in this position, you must have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care, along with at least two years of experience in a similar environment. Effective communication skills and a positive attitude are essential, as is flexibility to manage various responsibilities. A DBS check is required for this role, and eligibility to work in the UK must be proven.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.

  • Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
