Job summary
Are you a newly qualified or experienced Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist looking for your next opportunity? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team at Russell's Hall Hospital. We are seeking a motivated therapist to work within our supportive acute service, providing assessment and treatment for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties across inpatient wards. Working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while benefiting from excellent supervision, training and development opportunities. What we offer Varied acute inpatient caseload. Supportive, friendly team with experienced clinicians. Protected CPD time, including clinical supervision, in-house training and complex case discussions. Mentoring, appraisal support and leadership guidance. Dedicated support to complete the RCSLT Newly Qualified Practitioner Competencies. You will: Manage a defined acute SLT caseload. Assess and treat adults with dysphagia and acquired communication disorders. Deliver education and training to colleagues, patients and carers. Support SLT student learning and development. Main duties of the job
To manage a defined Speech and Language Therapy caseload independently.To work with adults with dysphagia. Support will be provided to complete RCSLT NQT Competencies.To provide a Speech and Language Therapy expertise to adults with acquired communication difficulties.
To participate in the development and delivery of training to others within the team.
To supervise Speech and Language Therapy students.
