Job summary
To work as part of a management team of 6 overseeing the catering office and the stores as well as supporting the patient, staff services manager and Head chef in the smooth running of catering. Responsible for all ordering, receipting, processing of data. Including the rostering and welfare of the administration and stores team
Main duties of the job
Office manager (ideally with Catering experience) is required to assist in the management of the Trust Catering Services, ensuring the provision is of the highest standard. Provide cover not only for the other Operational Managers but also the Deputy Trust Catering Manager - should the need arise.
Main duties are to oversee the smooth and efficient day to day management of the office and its staff that provides admin support to the catering function including all software applications. Ensure all applications are administered and updated whilst assisting in the future development in the usage of software. This also includes the management of all software applications / maintenance / licences / tenders & contracts.
Patient meal service of approximately 1600 meals a day. Restaurant / Deli serving 700+ customers daily.
Responsible for the purchase of all catering supplies / delivery and food quality. Ensuring regular reviews in pricing is observed to ensure best value.
Ensuring all invoices are paid / recharges carried out and PO's receipted in a timely manner. Dealing with supplier queries as they arise. Responsible for both admin team and stores staff. Ensuring stock levels are maintained to agreed levels and that FBSMS is maintained with all the relevant information and up to date such as pricing / products / nutritional information / allergens etc.
To assist Senior Managers in projects / reporting / price reviews / audit returns / legislation updates etc.
