Job Overview
The post holder will provide an efficient and effective service for patients and parents/carers. The post holder will ensure that all visitors are welcomed to the service in a professional manner whilst adhering to the confidentiality policy. The post holder will provide a comprehensive support service to the team in delivering a high quality patient care and making a positive difference to the patient experience.

- The post holder plays a frontline role within the Lodge Road site and as such, a high standard of personal and professional skills are required.
- Communicate tactfully and professionally with patients parents/carers, staff and the general public about appointments and deal with enquiries where there may be barriers to understanding.
- Receive and welcome members of the public, patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner and to direct them to their destination within the building as required and notify the staff that they are seeing.
- Administration support as required.

- To receive, direct and re-direct incoming calls to the appropriate person or department.
- Provide advice information to patients parents/carers, general public and staff.
- Use of patient administration system.
- To report any building defects to our Estates Department via the Estates on line system.
- To undertake duties such as scanning, photocopying, laminating and sending emails.
- To undertake general filing and discharge files in a timely and accurate manner and departmental archiving.
- To ensure the reception area is presentable and tidy at all times and complies with Health and Safety requirements.
- To ensure all literature and posters within reception area are up to date.
- To be aware of the Trusts fire evacuation policy and take appropriate action in the event of alarm activations.
- To receive and sign for deliveries. This will ensure checking that delivery/goods received notes are consistent with the goods being delivered.
- Maintain stock control, order stationery and supplies as necessary on a monthly basis.
- Process post, scan, distribute and save as appropriate and ensure ensuring outgoing post is processed in a timely manner.
- To provide administration duties at Band 2 level as required by the Manager.
To undertake any other duties of a similar nature consistent with the responsibilities of this post in order to provide a quality service.
