An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Receptionist to join our supportive and friendly team. We are seeking a professional and approachable individual to be the first point of contact for our patients, providing a high standard of customer service.
Previous reception experience within a healthcare setting is preferred.
Applicants should be confident using IT systems; experience with SystmOne would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a polite, professional, and welcoming manner
- Manage incoming calls, book, change & cancel appointments, and handle enquiries efficiently
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Manage emails and online patient queries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using clinical systems
- Liaise effectively with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements
- Support clinicians and the wider practice team with administrative tasks
- Keep the reception area tidy and well organised

About us
Grosvenor House Surgery is located in West Ealing, W13 9BE and is a member of South Central Ealing PCN. The practice list size of 5500 patients.
Staff comprise of 5 GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 GP Assistants, a pharmacy clerk, 2 phlebotomist and 6 reception & administrative staff. The practice uses SystmOne operating system.
South Central Ealing PCN provides additional clinical and administrative staff (Clinical Pharmacy team, First Contact Physiotherapist, Mental Health Practitioner, Paramedic home visiting service and Social Prescriber) to support the practice.
