Job summary

Join our Diagnostic Imaging team as an MRI Healthcare Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care throughout the MRI journey. Working alongside Radiographers and the wider multidisciplinary team, you'll help ensure patients receive a safe, efficient and reassuring experience while supporting the smooth running of a busy MRI service. Main duties of the job

  • Supporting patients before, during and after MRI examinations.
  • Assisting with patient preparation, identification and MRI safety screening.
  • Providing reassurance and support to anxious, vulnerable or mobility-impaired patients.
  • Assisting Radiographers with patient positioning, transfers and departmental workflow.
  • Maintaining high standards of infection prevention, cleanliness and MRI safety.
  • Managing stock levels, replenishing consumables and carrying out basic equipment checks.
  • Updating patient information accurately on clinical IT systems and supporting administrative processes.
  • Working collaboratively with Radiographers, Nurses and the wider healthcare team to deliver an outstanding patient experience.
