Join NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) and help deliver an excellent experience for colleagues and managers across the organisation. As an HR Direct Administration Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for a wide range of HR enquiries, providing accurate advice, practical support and professional customer service. You will manage enquiries through multiple channels, maintain employee records and support a variety of HR processes, helping services run smoothly behind the scenes. This is an opportunity to contribute to work that supports the people who save and improve lives every day while developing valuable HR, customer service and administration skills within a supportive team.

Main duties of the job

  • Be the first point of contact for HR enquiries, helping managers and employees get the support they need.
  • Deliver a professional and empathetic customer experience across phone, email and self-service channels.
  • Resolve routine enquiries and connect customers with specialist support when required.
  • Maintain accurate records and update information across multiple HR systems.
  • Support a range of HR administration activities, reports and document processes.
  • Organise meetings and administrative activities that help teams deliver effective people services.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share knowledge and support continuous improvement.
  • Manage competing priorities while meeting service standards and agreed timescales.
