Job summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Community Staff Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive community nursing team based at Fleet Community Nursing Team.

Applicants can be newly qualified, or experienced, as full training, and support will be offered. We are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals who wish to provide high standard nursing care to people in their own homes.

With excellent links to local universities, inhouse university credited modules the training and development we are able to offer is first class, allowing rapid upskilling and support with new skills.

Newly qualified staff will have access to a preceptorship program and a specific clinical upskilling program to support their transition from student to RN.

There will be an expectation for the successful candidates to work weekends, late shifts and bank holidays pro rata. Our late shift covers until 8pm

You must be a car driver with access to a vehicle for work. Mileage expenses are claimable via the trust expenses system.

This role is open to newly qualified nurses graduating in September 2026.

Main duties of the job

  • The role includes, wound care, palliative care, IV drug administration, medication/ injection administration, diabetes management and many other diverse skills.
  • To provide a high-quality person-centred approach to care delivery which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity.
  • To undertake assessment of patients / service users care needs and develop programmes of care as part of the wider multi-disciplinary care team.
  • To provide advice to patients/ service users and carers regarding their care.
  • To plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in arrange of settings.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team.
