The role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Systems Implementation Officer to join our Finance & HR Systems team (FHSYS). Reporting directly to the Head of FHSYS, this is an exciting and unique opportunity to use not only your financial skills, but your business process understanding, and importantly, knowledge of the Unit 4 product. Having successfully migrated to Unit 4 ERP CR we now need to implement further improvements to ensure we are future ready and supporting wider organisational improvement ambitions.

Working across operational and project teams, you will help to simplify, standardise and optimise the use of MyERP (Unit4 ERP). Working alongside technical teams, business stakeholders and external partners, you will support the delivery of sustainable, scalable solutions that improve the experience of staff & students while enabling the University to realise the full value of its cloud ERP investment.

This role is ideal for someone with experience of financial business processes & knowledge of the Unit4 ERP product. If you are passionate about driving improvement, can simplifying complex processes, and translate business requirements into technical requirements (and vice versa) then this could be an exciting role for you.

What will you be doing?

Lead and coordinate key workstreams that support the University's post-migration MyERP strategy, helping to standardise and optimise the use of Unit4 ERP CR across Finance and HR functions.

Work closely with business stakeholders, operational teams and technical teams to deliver system improvements and transformation initiatives that align with organisational priorities and Unit4 best practice.

Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective system solutions, challenging customisation where appropriate and promoting standard functionality wherever possible.

Drive & coordinate user acceptance testing activities, working with business stakeholders to develop execute testing and ensure successful outcomes.

Develop and maintain high-quality project documentation, supporting key stakeholders in the update of operational documents such as business process maps, team, and stakeholder guidance.

Collaborate with Unit4 and other external suppliers to deliver enhancements, resolve issues & ensure effective use of the platform.

Provide expert advice and guidance on Unit4 ERP functionality and process improvements, influencing decisions that support the University's Journey to X objectives.

Support Finance and HR Systems change management and user engagement activities, helping teams embrace new ways of working and realise the benefits of system improvements.

Stay informed of Unit4 product developments and roadmap opportunities, helping the University leverage new capabilities & maintain alignment with the vendor's cloud strategy.

You should apply if

You have proven experience of working with Unit4 ERP, including system implementation, optimisation, configuration or business change initiatives.

You have experience gathering, analysing and translating business requirements into effective system solutions that balance organisational needs with product best practice.

You have a strong understanding of Finance and/or HR business processes and experience supporting change within large, complex organisations.

You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

You are comfortable working across multiple projects and priorities, delivering high-quality outcomes to challenging deadlines.

You have excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience building effective relationships at all levels of an organisation.

You are passionate about improvement and driving value through standardisation, simplification and effective use of enterprise systems.

Experience of cloud ERP implementations, SaaS environments, testing, change management or digital transformation programmes would be advantageous.
