Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Data Quality Analyst to join the Children and Families Mental Health Sub-Division. This pivotal role supports clinical teams and senior leaders by ensuring the accurate capture, analysis, and reporting of service data, helping to improve patient safety, patient experience, and the effective day-to-day operation of mental health services.
Working closely with clinical and service leads, particularly within Specialist CAMHS, you will lead on the timely collection, validation, analysis, and presentation of data to support operational and strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for collating and supplying information for monthly performance reporting and ad hoc reporting requirements, while driving improvements in data quality and information management processes.
The successful candidate will be a proactive and highly organised individual with strong analytical and reporting skills, experience in data quality management, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to a range of stakeholders. You will be confident working independently, using your initiative to solve problems, manage competing priorities, and respond effectively to unexpected demands within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Main duties of the job
Support Business Support Data Manager to ensure CAMHS Sub-Division maintains good data quality in line with NHS, Trust and local policies procedures. Work collaboratively with Corporate Performance, operational and clinical teams to align reporting processes, performance objectives and service priorities.
Analyse, validate and produce reports for clinical and admin colleagues using a range of applications. Provide advice and support to colleagues on the effective use of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems, promote accurate data recording and compliance with Trust standards.
Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc data quality, performance reports, identifying trends, risks, and data quality issues, and sharing findings with managers to support timely corrective action. Escalate reporting issues, system anomalies, and data concerns to relevant partners.
Undertake regular data quality audits and support initiatives to improve the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of Trust information. Contribute to the development and improvement of systems and processes used to extract, analyse and share information.
Use Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, to support reporting and analysis. Provide guidance to clinical and business support colleagues on reporting tools and data management processes, promoting best practice. Maintain effective working relationships, support service improvement initiatives, and manage workload to meet agreed deadlines and service requirements.
