Maternity Leave Paramedic – (On‑Site, Few Home Visits)
Balmoral Surgery – 24 hours per week (Ideally working on Mon/Wed & Fri)

We’re looking for an experienced Paramedic to join our friendly, supportive GP team to cover Maternity Leave. This is a predominantly on‑site role with a small number of home visits, designed to make best use of your urgent care skills while keeping your workload safe and sustainable.
What you’ll do
- Run same‑day / urgent care clinics for appropriate presentations
- See patients face‑to‑face, by phone and video within an agreed scope of practice
- Carry out occasional home visits for suitable patients on a planned rota
- Request and interpret basic investigations, provide safety‑netting and clear follow‑up
- Work closely with GPs, nurses and the wider MDT to improve access and patient care

About you
- HCPC‑registered Paramedic with substantial urgent/emergency care experience
- Confident in autonomous assessment within clear protocols and escalation routes
- Strong communicator, team‑player and keen to develop in primary care
